Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some websites use dozens. We use almost none — a carpentry workshop has little appetite for tracking — but honesty requires listing the few that exist.

1. Cookies We Set

Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies on this site, so the banner does not nag you on every page. Lifespan: 12 months. Set only after you make a choice.

PHPSESSID

A standard session identifier used to protect the enquiry form against forged submissions and to confirm your message was sent. It contains a random string, identifies nothing about you personally, and expires when you close your browser.

2. What We Deliberately Don't Do

This website sets no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers and no social media pixels. We do not fingerprint your device. If you reject cookies via the banner, the site works exactly the same — the only difference is that we remember your "no" (which itself requires the one small cookie above; the alternative is asking you on every page, which helps nobody).

3. Fonts

Our typefaces load from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google's servers. That request includes your IP address, as every web request does. Google's own privacy policy governs that processing. No cookie is set by this.

4. Changing Your Mind

Click the small gear icon in the corner of any page to reopen the cookie banner and switch your choice. You can also clear cookies for this site entirely through your browser settings — instructions live under "Privacy" in every major browser's preferences.
