Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the use of this website and every custom furniture order placed with Serumpun Woodcraft Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 202001034917 (1392648-T)). Accepting a quotation from us means accepting these terms, so please read them — they are written to be readable.

1. Quotations

Quotations are free, itemised and valid for thirty days from issue. They are based on the measurements, materials and finishes recorded at the time of quoting. Changes you request after acceptance — different materials, revised dimensions, added units — will be re-quoted before any additional work begins. We never invoice for surprises.

2. Deposits and Payment

Fabrication begins upon receipt of a fifty percent (50%) deposit and your written acceptance of the quotation and final 3D design. The balance falls due upon completed installation and your inspection. We accept bank transfer and major Malaysian e-wallets. Title to the goods passes to you upon full payment.

3. Design Approval

Every project is confirmed against a 3D model and written specification before cutting begins. The approved model is the contract's definition of "correct" — please check dimensions, orientation, colours and hardware carefully. Timber is a natural material: grain pattern and minor tonal variation between the model and the finished piece are characteristics, not defects.

4. Lead Times

Your confirmed lead time — typically four to eight weeks — starts when deposit and design approval are both in hand. We will tell you promptly if factory scheduling shifts your date. Delays caused by site conditions (unfinished renovation works, no access, pending wiring) pause the schedule until resolved.

5. Delivery and Installation

We deliver and install within Kuala Lumpur and Selangor; charges are itemised in your quotation. You (or someone you authorise) must be present at installation to inspect and sign off. Please clear the work area beforehand — our crew installs furniture beautifully but is not insured to move your piano.

6. Warranty

Structural workmanship is warranted for twenty-four months from installation, covering joinery failure, hardware defects and delamination under normal indoor use. The warranty excludes damage from water ingress, direct sun, misuse, unauthorised modification, or ordinary wear to surfaces. Warranty claims are honoured by repair first, replacement where repair is impractical.

8. Website Use

Content on this website — text, photographs, designs — belongs to us and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. We work to keep information accurate but the website is provided "as is"; specifications are confirmed only in written quotations.

9. Liability

To the extent Malaysian law permits, our total liability under any order is limited to the price paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur — though in a decade of business, every dispute we have had was settled over a phone call, and we intend to keep that record.
